Grand Rapids Real Wedding - Larissa and Jake

Planning a long distance wedding can be very stressful. How about a mother of two daughters, planning two weddings within 3 1/2 months of each other? When I received the call from Larissa's mother, Jan, I knew I would do whatever I needed to to help relieve some of the stress she was under. Larissa and Jake live in Nashville so she was helping with a lot of the details and planning. While at an Open House for Something Borrowed Vintage Staging & Rentals, Jan got talking with the owner, Ami, about how much she had to do and how she was worried about pulling it all together on the big day. Ami said "You know there are people that can help you with that right?" Jan told me later those were the best words she had heard to date!

Once I sat down with Larissa and Jake and learned about all the awesome details they had planned, I couldn't wait to see it all come together! The Goei Center is such a gorgeous venue, both for ceremonies and receptions and with Eastern Floral right on site you now it's going to be a home run. The images from Chris Pritchard are beautiful and, of course, the desserts from The Cakabakery were DELICIOUS! Everything was really pulled together by the vintage rental items from Something Borrowed, mixed with the floral centerpieces and gray linens the guest tables were perfect. And wait until you see the wooden ladders hanging from the ceiling with the mason jar lanterns!! Okay, go ahead and look, you know you want to!

The place cards were tied to antique keys and hung on these vintage windows.

Yup, that's right, they were introduced to the Star Wars Theme Song, it was kind of great!

Good luck on your new adventures together Larissa and Jake. It was an honor to get to know you and your families and be a part of your big day!
