DIY Petal Cones

Are you looking for a cute way to distribute flower petals for your guests to throw at your outdoor ceremony? After searching everywhere for something like this and not being able to find anything, I made these adorable, inexpensive and super easy doily cones for a client of mine and just fell in love!

These paper grease proof doilies with a lace like die cut edge are from Wilton cake supply and come in a package of 10. They come in a few different sizes but I used the 10 inch size. They are around $1.99 for the package. For this wedding we only needed around 40 so it cost under $4!

Step 1: Cut the doily in half. You can make two cones out of each doily, so each package will yield 20 cones.

Step 2: Roll each half into a cone shape, there is a smooth side and a rough side of the pattern, I rolled it with the rough side facing in. After a couple you will figure out the trick to getting the edges to line up.

Step 3: Tape or glue stick the edges, both inside and out. I used a small piece of double sided tape on the top corner where the pattern is because there isn't a lot to hold glue there.

Step 4: Fill with the flower petals of your choice!

Have fun and enjoy!!
