Grand Rapids Real Wedding - Lauren & Ryan

When Lauren and Ryan contacted me about assisting them on their December Winter Wonderland wedding I was thrilled. There are not too many Michigan couples that choose to embrace the winter season but these two did. All of the little details reflected their theme, from the flower girl dropping snow flakes to the white flowers and fur wrap. Everything turned out beautifully and I could not have been more pleased. The couple was such a pleasure to work with and the team of vendors they hired was phenomenal!

AMAZING Lighting!

I just came across this on Pinterest and HAD to share! Talk about amazing, the lighting, the crystal, the furs on the chairs, gorgeous. I could not find the designer of this event but whoever it was is very talented.

Congratulations to all the couples getting married this weekend! I hope that you are able to capture some beautiful winter images with the freshly fallen snow.

Winter Weddings

I love the idea of a winter wedding. Not only is the snow and the inspiration beautiful but you may also be able to save money in a few areas.

Having a winter wedding does not mean that you have to use a red and green color palette and play holiday music. Whites, metallics and blues are all lovely this time of year.

Here are a few ideas that I love...

Berries, greens and twigs are perfect details for a winter wedding.

Love the greenery and the simplicity of this bouquet. And LOVE the jacket!

Why not?

Wraps, shawls and furs are a great finishing touch to any outfit.

The use of natural elements is always beautiful.
